The Uttarakhand Transport department issued a warning to online platforms including Ola, Uber, and Rapido regarding the use of private vehicles for commercial activities in Dehradun. Official investigations confirmed these companies operate private two-wheelers on their apps, which violates the Motor Vehicles Act. Under existing regulations, only vehicles registered in the commercial category are permitted to provide aggregator services.
